Corn Climbs to Highest in Month on Strong Demand, Lower Output
Chicago corn jumped to the highest in a month as strong demand for US exports and a lower-than-expected production outlook continued to support prices.
Corn futures gained as much as 1.2% Monday. That comes after the US Department of Agriculture reported another 2.8 million tons of net sales in the week ending Aug. 14, with new-crop corn sales hitting the second‑highest level ever for this time of year, behind 2021.
