US Existing-Home Sales Rise as Price Growth Simmers Down
Sales of previously owned US homes rose modestly in July as price growth slowed and mortgage rates drifted lower, helping to stabilize demand.
Contract closings increased 2% last month to an annualized rate of 4.01 million, a report from the National Association of Realtors showed Thursday. The median projection in a Bloomberg survey of economists was for a 3.92 million pace.
