Truist Plans to Open 100 New Branches in Reach for Mass Affluent

Truist Financial Corp. is planning to invest in branches and premier banking over the next five years as it focuses on growth after becoming one of the largest regional banks headquartered in the Southeast through its 2019 merger.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based lender plans to open 100 new branches and renovate more than 300 existing ones across a range of cities including Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia and Washington, according to an emailed statement.
