TPG Backs Tech Investing Firm Vanara Started by Former Employees

TPG Inc. is helping to seed a new investment management firm called Vanara Capital that will invest in growth-stage technology companies, according to a statement reviewed by Bloomberg News.

Vanara, founded by TPG alumni Neil Kamath and Hayden Lekacz, has formed a strategic partnership with TPG Next, TPG’s general partner stakes platform, which will be an anchor investor in Vanara’s first fund, according to the statement. Acrisure Chief Executive Officer Greg Williams will be another investor in Vanara’s inaugural fund.
