Turkey is set to supply Syria with weapons and other military equipment as part of a preliminary agreement signed on Wednesday, deepening its support for the new administration in Damascus, according to a Turkish media report.
The defense ministers from both countries signed a “Joint Training and Consulting” accord, which calls for Turkey to provide training for Syrian troops to use the weapons, NTV television said, citing Turkish officials without identifying them.
