Olam’s Shares Rise as Cocoa, Coffee Sales Boost Profits
Shares of Singapore-based agricultural trader Olam Group Ltd. rose by the most since April after it reported a surge in first-half profit.
Olam advanced as much as 5.7%, before paring some gains. Net income climbed to S$323.8 million ($253 million) for the six months ended June 30, compared with S$48 million in the same period last year, it said in a statement on Thursday.
