Brazil’s retail sales unexpectedly fell in June, marking their third consecutive drop and the latest sign Latin America’s biggest economy is cooling down.

Sales declined 0.1% from the month prior, well below the median forecast of a 0.8% gain in a Bloomberg survey. From a year earlier sales came in at 0.3%, the statistics agency reported.
