German utility Uniper SE cut its renewable energy expansion targets, blaming sluggish market developments as it focuses on building out natural gas infrastructure.

The utility initially planned to have 10 gigawatts of solar and wind projects “ready to build” by 2030, according to a 2023 report, but is now aiming to have only around 8 gigawatts of such projects in the pipeline by then, according to a Uniper spokesperson.
