French Top Court Invalidates Pesticide Law Amid Public Outcry

France’s constitutional court invalidated provisions of a controversial new law that would have allowed the use of a banned pesticide, a move that had prompted a widespread public outcry.

In its ruling, the Constitutional Council said the measure would have contradicted the country’s Charter for the Environment.
