Cadillac’s Most Affordable Electric SUV Is Anything but Basic
Not your father’s Caddy: GM’s underrated Optiq EV deserves the spotlight.

Last year Hoon Kim, the exterior design manager for Cadillac, told me the new electric SUV he and his team had designed would attract a younger audience for the brand.
“Optiq is all about sporty, youthful,” Kim said, noting that Caddy was already shifting in that direction. In the past five years, more than 1 million new customers had come to Cadillac, 5% of which were younger than 40.
