Puerto Rico Private Equity Boom Faces Fresh Regulatory Scrutiny

The number of private equity funds has more than quadrupled since 2019 to more than 130, and it’s time to clamp down, Acting Commissioner of Financial Institutions Monica Rodriguez said in an interview.
