Danone Soars as Sales Beat Expectations on Protein Demand

Danone SA shares gained the most in three years after sales beat expectations as the French consumer goods company saw volumes rise in most of its categories, including high-protein products.

Sales increased 4.1% on a like-for-like basis in the second quarter, the producer of Activia yogurt and Volvic water said Wednesday, beating the 3.8% growth forecast by analysts. It has beaten top-line sales expectations every quarter since early 2021.
