Amex Travel Antitrust Case Dropped by US Before September Trial
The US Justice Department moved to dismiss an antitrust challenge to American Express Global Business Travel Group Inc.’s acquisition of rival CWT Holdings, a case that had been set to go to trial in September.
The department sought to exercise “its prosecutorial discretion” by asking a federal judge in New York to dismiss the case, according to a court filing Tuesday. The suit was filed in January.
