The department cited reporting by the Washington Free Beacon that the law journal used discriminatory practices in choosing editors. Education Secretary Linda McMahon, along with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also sent a letter to Duke that “shared concerns about the use of race preferences in Duke’s hiring, admissions, and scholarship decisions” at Duke’s medical school and the Duke Health system.
