Six People Dead in Bangkok Market Shooting, Police Say

A gunman killed five people near a popular Bangkok market before killing himself, according to a police statement.

The incident at around 12:31 p.m. local time took place at Or Tor Kor Market, across the street from tourist hotspot Chatuchak Weekend Market. Bangkok’s Erawan medical center said the victims included four security guards and one woman. Two other women were injured and hospitalized, it added.
