Sabadell CEO Says BBVA Bid Is Bound to Fail at Current Price

Banco Sabadell SA Chief Executive Officer Cesar Gonzalez-Bueno predicted that BBVA SA’s hostile bid for the smaller rival will fall through if it doesn’t offer more money.

“At this price, it’s impossible for this to work,” Gonzalez-Bueno, who has previously rejected the bid as too low, said in an interview. BBVA can either “improve the offer, or withdraw it,” he said.
