Blue States Score New Win Over Trump’s Citizenship Limits
A federal appeals court in San Francisco said President Donald Trump’s limits on birthright citizenship are unconstitutional and must be blocked during litigation, dealing the latest setback to the administration’s immigration crackdown.
The decision Wednesday night by the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals upholds an earlier ruling by a judge in Seattle who blocked Trump’s executive order nationwide in a case brought by a group of Democratic state officials from Washington, Arizona, Illinois and Oregon.
