GoPro, Krispy Kreme Gain as Markets Abuzz About Meme Stocks

The meme-stock revival stretched into another day, even as an early-morning surge in shares of GoPro Inc., Krispy Kreme Inc. and Beyond Meat Inc. subsided by the close.

Wearable camera maker GoPro closed 12% higher after soaring as much as 73% early in the day. Doughnut maker Krispy Kreme closed up 4.6% after surging as much as 39%, and Beyond Meat gained 1.4%. The other two recent day-trader favorites declined, with Opendoor Technologies Inc. dropping 20% and Kohl’s Corp. falling 14%.
