FitzWalter Seeks VietJet Asset Freeze Over Unpaid Millions

A UK investment fund owed hundreds of millions of dollars by VietJet Aviation JSC is seeking to freeze the global assets of the fast-growing low-cost carrier.

In a London court hearing on Tuesday, FitzWalter Capital Ltd.’s aircraft leasing unit FW Aviation asked a London judge to impose the freeze as VietJet’s arrears to the group swells to at leastBloomberg Terminal $217 million. Among assets targeted include purchased but not yet delivered Airbus SE planes, engines, and cabin equipment including seats and in-flight entertainment systems, according to the legal filing.
