US Declares Group Accused of Kashmir Attacks a Terror Outfit

The US has designated The Resistance Front, which initially claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks in Kashmir, as a terrorist organization, marking a diplomatic victory for India.

In a statement on Thursday, the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the group as a “front and proxy” for Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT), which has been separately designated as a terrorist organization by both the United Nations and Washington.
