Australia’s Relationship With China Is ‘Complex,’ Deputy PM Says
Australia’s relationship with China is “complex” and “has challenges,” Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles acknowledged, arguing that trust with his country’s No.1 trading partner can only be built through continued engagement.
“The relationship has stabilized, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t challenges within the relationship, and we’ve been very upfront about them and very clear about them in the conversations that we’ve had with China,” Marles told Sky News on Thursday.
