Migrants at a new detention facility in the Florida Everglades filed a lawsuit claiming they have been denied access to lawyers and the courts in violation of their constitutional rights.

The lawsuit claims that the site, known as “Alligator Alcatraz,” has no procedure for migrants to contact lawyers, and the government has made it “virtually impossible” to file motions with an immigration court to seek their release from detention.
