India’s foreign minister raised concerns over restrictive trade measures during his first visit to China in more than five years, as the Asian neighbors strive to repair relations strained by the deadly 2020 border clashes.

India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar urged China to avoid “restrictive trade measures and roadblocks” during talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on Monday, according to a statement from New Delhi’s Ministry of External Affairs.
