Unilever Sells Venezuela Ice Cream Operation to Truck Maker Mack

Unilever Plc sold its Venezuelan ice cream business to automotive company Mack de Venezuela CA, as a renewed bout of high inflation and political uncertainty hits the Andean nation’s private sector.

The transaction, effective since July 3, included the Tio Rico ice cream brands, their office and factory, the company said in an emailed response to questions. The financial details of the operation haven’t been disclosed, the firm added.
