Triathlon Series Backed by Moritz in Saudi Fund Talks

SURJ Sports, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is in talks to invest in the organizers of the Michael Moritz-backed T100 Triathlon World Tour as part of plans to grow the series, according to people familiar with the matter.

A deal with the Professional Triathletes Organisation is expected to close in the coming weeks, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. It’s unclear how much SURJ could invest.
