The European Central Bank isn’t in a hurry to reduce borrowing costs further following eight cuts in the space of a year, according to Governing Council member Mario Centeno.

Centeno said Wednesday that policymakers remain cautious — despite the “very good news” that inflation is now at their 2% target. Officials are tracking “all possible numbers” and assessments of the euro zone’s 20-nation economy, he said.
