Soros’ Audacy to Close Pineapple Street Podcast Business

Audacy, the radio station owner backed by billionaire George Soros, said Thursday it will close its Pineapple Street podcast studio, largely exiting the business of producing shows for outside parties.

The decision will lead to an undisclosed number of job cuts. The company will continue to produce and distribute podcasts made in-house, like Fly on the Wall with Dana Carvey and David Spade and The Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, according to a statement. It was also distribute some shows for third parties.
