Renewable Investment Chilled by Policy Uncertainty, Engie Says

The head of Engie’s North American business says the French energy company is on track to invest less than half its usual $2 billion to $3 billion in the US this year, as uncertainty over tariffs and tax incentives chills spending on renewable power.

“That’s incredibly small for us,” said David Carroll, senior vice president for Engie North America. “The large investments that we’ve made have really been slowed down quite a bit by what we have in front of us, until we have some regulatory certainty.”
