Erdogan is expected to meet with Merz in The Hague on Wednesday as Turkey works on placing an order for dozens of Eurofighter Typhoon jets, which are produced by a pan-European consortium, according to Turkish officials familiar with the matter. Turkey has also been waiting for spare parts from Germany for its Leopard battle tanks and German-made submarines and other weapons systems, they said, without elaborating.
