Scotiabank Hires JPMorgan’s McDowell to Lead Corporate Banking

Bank of Nova Scotia hired JPMorgan Chase & Co. veteran Alton McDowell as global head of corporate banking.

McDowell will join the Canadian bank at the beginning of August and be based in Houston, according to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg News. A Scotiabank representative confirmed the contents of the memo, sent to staff by Dany Beauchemin and Matt Eilers, global co-heads of corporate and investment banking.
