Russia Says US Canceled Planned Meeting on Bilateral Relations

Russia said the US canceled the next round of planned consultations aimed at removing “irritants” from their bilateral relations and restoring the work of diplomatic missions in each other’s countries.

Moscow “hopes that the pause they have taken will not be too long,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Monday in a post on Telegram that didn’t elaborate on reasons for the cancellation.
