Monash IVF Shares Drop After Another Embryo Transfer Mix-Up
Shares of Australia’s Monash IVF Group Ltd. tumbled after saying a patient’s embryo had been incorrectly transferred, the latest mix-up reported by the reproductive health-care company behind the world’s first IVF pregnancy.
A patient’s own embryo was incorrectly transferred to that patient — contrary to a treatment plan which designated the transfer of an embryo of the patient’s partner — at Monash IVF’s Clayton laboratory in Victoria state on June 5, the firm said in a statement Tuesday. Its stock fell 27% to the lowest since August 2020.
