Fed’s Kugler Says Her Main Focus Now Is Inflation

Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler said her main focus now is inflation, rather than a potential slowdown in economic growth, as President Donald Trump’s tariff policies threaten to put upward pressure on prices.

She said she was more attuned to inflation currently because the impact of tariffs on prices will be “the first-order effect.”
