A slump in salmon prices in May contributed to the first annual drop in Norwegian seafood exports after 10 months of growth as production of the pink-fleshed fish rose.

Norway exported 13.6 billion kroner ($1.3 billion) worth of seafood in May, down 2% from a year earlier, the Norwegian Seafood Council said on Wednesday. Reduced volumes for clipfish and a stronger krone against the dollar also contributed to the decline.
