Hungary Police Ban Pride Parade in Showdown Over Culture War

Police, in a decision published on Tuesday, cited a constitutional amendment from April which Orban has said would provide legal grounds for banning LGBTQ events in public. The prime minister has sought to stop the parade, casting the event as a threat to children’s development.
