Harvard Picks Conservative Lawyer to Serve on Powerful Board

Shanmugam, who graduated from Harvard College and its law school, succeeds lawyer Ted Wells, who’s stepping down at the end of June after 12 years, Harvard said in a statement Thursday after the university commencement ceremony.
