Thai, Cambodian Leaders Agree to Resolve Border Row After Clash
Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and her Cambodian counterpart Hun Manet agreed to resolve a border row “as quickly as possible” after gunfire exchanges between rival troops early on Wednesday left a Cambodian soldier dead.
Paetongtarn told reporters that she spoke to Hun Manet about easing the situation as she didn’t want any further escalation in tensions. She described her relationship with the Cambodian premier as “still good.”
