US Stocks Rally on Easing Tension With EU, Consumer Confidence

The S&P 500 Index closed up about 2.0% in New York, snapping a four consecutive sessions of losses in the processs. Meanwhile, the technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 Index finished with a 2.4% gain.
