Mexico Stocks Hit Record as Tariff Respite Boosts Risky Assets

Mexican stocks surged to an all-time high on Tuesday, buoyed by a post-Liberation Day bounce and tracking a broader rally in Latin American equities.

The fact that Mexico was left relatively unscathed by President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs has been supportive. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum recently stressed the preferential treatment Mexico has received in talks, and said she’s confident in the working relationship with US officials.
