EasyJet Says Fleet Renewal Held Back By Slow Airbus Deliveries
EasyJet Plc said efforts to renew its fleet are being held back by a slow delivery pace of new aircraft as manufacturers continue to face challenges with their supply chain.
While the UK budget airline is “very focused on refleeting,” delivery delays at Airbus SE, the sole supplier of EasyJet’s aircraft, has forced the carrier to keep some older jets for slightly longer, Chief Executive Officer Kenton Jarvis said in an interview on Bloomberg TV after the company reported earnings. Supply in the market will grow between 1-3% this year, Jarvis said.
