Malawi Aims for Third-Time Lucky With IMF Deal After Election

The extended-credit-facility deal automatically ended Wednesday after Malawi failed to conclude a single review since it started in November 2023, the Washington-based lender said on its website. The government drew about $35 million when the program began, compared with a total $175 million envisaged.
