Romania’s former presidential frontrunner Calin Georgescu has endorsed far-right candidate George Simion in a last-minute push to sway voters just days before Sunday’s close run-off vote.

Georgescu, who was barred from standing in the election over alleged Russian meddling in support of his past campaign, said he’d help his “younger protégé in everything he does” in a late night interview on Wednesday.
