UniCredit Sends Letter to Berlin Saying It’s Open to Talks

UniCredit SpA has sent congratulatory letters to the new German government that also signaled its willingness to hold talks, according to people familiar with the matter, indicating the Italian bank is seeing a potential opening to improve fraught relations.

None of the addressees has responded yet, the people said. That may still happen, one person said. All asked not to be named discussing the private information.
