Serbian authorities detained a former state official over allegedly forging paperwork to smooth the way for Jared Kushner’s firm to build a luxury hotel and residences in the Balkan country’s capital.
The planned hotel is one of several real estate ventures embarked upon by Kushner across the region, whose leaders are eager to court his father-in-law, US President Donald Trump.
