A father and son who participated in a scheme to inflate the value of a New Jersey deli to more than $100 million each received prison time for their roles in the fraud.

Peter Coker Jr., 56, was sentenced Tuesday in New Jersey federal court to 40 months behind bars, but his lawyer said credit for time served and good behavior in jails in New Jersey and Thailand meant he would effectively spend six more months in prison. Earlier on Tuesday, Peter Coker Sr., 82, was given a six-month sentence.
