Iran Says Next Round of US Nuclear Talks Scheduled for Sunday

The US and Iran will hold their fourth round of talks over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program this weekend in the Omani capital of Muscat, as the Trump administration threatens to ramp up pressure on Tehran with sanctions.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Iranian state TV that the Omani government, which is mediating the talks, has been in touch with Tehran and Washington. Araghchi said a time for the talks has not yet been fixed, and that he’ll travel to Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Saturday, a few days before Trump is expected to visit the Gulf-Arab countries.
