Revenue from electronic-games overtook those from brick-and-mortar casinos for the first time in the Philippines, marking a shift in Asia’s second-largest gambling hub.

Revenue from E-Games and E-Bingo segment made up nearly half of the 104.1 billion pesos ($1.9 billion) gross gaming revenue in the first quarter, up 27.4% from a year ago, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. said on Wednesday.
