Germany’s main opposition party Alternative for Germany challenged a ruling by the nation’s domestic intelligence agency that classified it as a right-wing extremist movement.

The AfD filed its lawsuit on Monday and is also seeking a fast-track interim ruling that would stop the decision taking effect while the challenge is pending, according to a spokeswoman for the Cologne Administrative Court.
