Bolivia Senate President Rodriguez Plans to Run for President

Bolivia’s Senate President Andronico Rodriguez said he will run for president in the August election, emerging as perhaps the most likely candidate to rally left-wing voters.

“In response to this request: I accept,” Rodriguez said Saturday while addressing a group of supporters in the city of Oruro, according to local media. His legal adviser, Israel Quino, later confirmed the decision in an X post.
