Gabon will hold parliamentary elections on Sept. 27, the country’s newly elected president, Brice Oligui Nguema, said Saturday.

Local elections are scheduled for Oct. 11 and senatorial elections will be held on Nov. 8 and 29, Nguema said in his inaugural address, marking the return to constitutional order following a 2023 coup.
